LOUISIANA CIVIL CODE

The Civil Code of Louisiana is based on the French Civil Code. The Center of Civil Law Studies at Louisiana State University (LSU) has undertaken to translate the current code from English to French.

The project was successfully completed thanks to a grant from the FACE Foundation Partner University Fund, in collaboration with the cultural services of the French Embassy in the United States, in partnership with the University of Nantes (Trilingual Jurist Master).
